Connected Home

A "Connected Home" is one where multiple "smart" devices are integrated together creating an automated environment that can be controlled easily from a smart phone, laptop, PC, or other central controllers. Smart devices are typically IP enabled and controllable by an app. Common devices in a "Connected Home" include: Smart thermostats (Nest, ecobee) speakers (Sonos, B&O), lights (Lutron, Hue, LIFX), cameras (Nestcam, IP cameras), smart outlets (LiveWatch, Wemo, ZWave) to control appliances, and a wide array of smart locks, shades, garage doors, pool filtering systems and heaters... etc.
